A Changing Airline Industry
Small and mid-size communities will need to plan within the context of very different expectations and realities. Airline fleets are shifting upward in capacity. The constrictions of the ATC system will not improve. There's no leadership from Washington. Airline costs will continue to increase, reducing the number of smaller airliners that can economically serve rural America. New survival strategies must be implemented to assure that whole regions of the nation are not "air service blighted." Michael Boyd will reveal survival strategies for airports.
